Watch Pretty Little Liars Season 1 Episdoe 4 Can You Hear Me Now?
Tired of being harassed by “A,” the girls decide to put a stop to the anonymous emails and text messages by blocking all unknown users. But even with the mysterious ghost no longer looming over their heads, the girls’ problems are far from over. With a surprise visit by a father, a surprise gift from a prospective paramour, getting some unwanted advice and an undeserved scholarly accolade, the girls’ lives continue to get more complicated by the day. And after dealing with all of that, did the Pretty Little Liars really think they could keep “A” away forever?
Pretty Little Liars: Episode 3 Airs Tonight
Tuesday, June 22, 2010
After just three episodes of ABC Family’s ‘Pretty Little Liars’, I’m hooked. High school cliques, creepy peeping Toms, popular girls plagued by secrets, lies, and mysterious beyond-the-grave texts? This new show has all the right elements to make my DVR exciting again.
Starring Lucy Hale and a cast of fresh new pretty girls, the show grabs older viewers with TV drama veterans Holly Marie Combs (sweet Piper from ‘Charmed’) and Laura Leighton (‘Melrose Place’ she-devil Syndey.) Four estranged members of a clique torn apart by the disappearance of their ring leader are brought together a year later when Allison’s body is found, turning the case from missing person to murder.
Tonight’s episode delivered new riddles, including Emily’s locker-room rescue by a creepy outcast who may hold the key to the “A” text mystery. Good girl Spencer starts to crack at the edges after being caught in a liplock with her sister’s fiancĂ© last week. Too distraught to study, she swipes a paper from her sister’s laptop. Hanna can't shake the ghost of her heavy-girl past and fails to seduce her boyfriend. And new It girl Aria, tortured by her father’s ex-mistress, turns to super-hot English teacher Mr. Fitz for a little comfort.
The first two episodes had a considerably slower start, but with “To Kill a Mocking Girl”, I’m officially on the ‘Pretty Little Liars’ bandwagon. Thank goodness, because a summer without ‘Gossip Girl’ was just too depressing. Move over, CW...it's ABC Family to the rescue. Who would have thought?
