The China Post, 7 Apr 2011Singapore's manufacturing sector has expanded for a sixth straight month but at a markedly slower rate.The purchasing managers' index (PMI), which points to factory activity in the upcoming months, registered 50.1 points last month, down from 52.3 in February.This means the sector barely grew. A reading above 50 indicates expansion; a reading under 50 means contraction.
