At an altitude of 2743 km Sonamarg – Gangabal trekkin route is a 7 days trekking trip and is known as trekker heaven. Trekkn route includes travellin downhill from Sonamarg around 2 miles to reach the bridge in the Shitkari village and then travel up the ridge through forest of pine trees to Nichinai pass. You can also see few glaciers in the trek. After Nichinai pass the tuor reaches Satsaran pass and Zajibal pass and then down you can find Gangabal pass.

Dachigram wildlife Sanctuary in Srinagar is is spreads across 140 square Km area and is at a distance of 25 km from the Srinagar valley. You can take bus or taxi to reach the sanctuary within 30 mins from famous Lal Chowk of Srinagar.

Please note that you need to take permission for the safari in advance. Stay for a day ot two is recommended but remember that no bed and breakfast is available except a hut inside the sanctuary so you need to arrange for your own. You can also enjoy safari in battery powered cars by paying Rs 500.

Best time to visit: octover is the best time to visit the Dachigram wildlife sanctuary.
