Preity signed up for Guinness World Records

The actress will host the show along with actor Shabbir Ahluwalia.
The show intends to break over 70 Guinness World Records like pulling a heavy vehicle by hair, flipping omelettes in record time and swallowing swords.

Mallika's eagerness to reach Oscar red carpet early didn't pay off. She reached the venue way before the media did!
Mallika Sherawat may be gloating about her red carpet appearance at the Oscars and meeting Hollywood's A-list folk.
But what happened to her before she preened and pirouetted outside the Kodaktheatre where the Academy awards were held, left her embarrassed!
The sex siren reached the world famous red carpet when there was no one around! Even most of the reporters, TV crews and photographers who capture the stars had notreached.
The reason for Mallika's boo-boo was her eagerness to reach the venue ahead of time.
Says a source, "The invite read "3 pm onwards" but stars show up after 4 pm. In fact the television crews and photographers start putting up their paraphernalia only after 3 pm knowing fully well that the stars start descending around 4.30 pm."
The Hisss actress, however, arrived at 2.50 pm! Seeing that there were not too manypeople around, only the early bird reporters and photographers could capture her.
The source explains, "Normally for most stars it takes at least an hour and a half to walk the full carpet, pose for the photographers, give television bytes and be interviewed till they reach the Kodak theatre. But Mallika took 30 minutes to complete the walk as there was hardly anyone around."
Mallika remained unavailable for comment but her brother Vikram Singh maintains, "Mallika has got coverage worldwide.She was there on the red carpet and at the after-party. She has been so busy with the Oscars that she has not had a chance to tell us what happened. She is expected back in Mumbai next week."
While Mallika's manager maintains, "I am not aware of her reaching before time."
The source explains, "This is the reason why her snapshots did not get splashed immediately after the event as only a few had clicked her. It was only later that her pictures did the rounds."
Run-in avoided
Sources state that Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai who were also on the redcarpet at the Oscar did not want a run-in with Mallika Sherawat. They had told their agents to make sure they weren't around at the same time as Madame M. The Bachchans arrived on the scene only after 4.30 pm " by that time the over zealous siren had already finished the walk.

Okay, now we all love Salman Khan and we know this piece of news won’t please the actor’s fans. But rumour has it that the star’s show ‘Dus Ka Dum’, which was to roll in the coming months, has now been put off for this year.
The reason for the delay is Amitabh Bachchan’s upcoming fourth season of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ which is being eagerly awaited by telly viewers.
We hear that the channel which will telecast the shows is presently focussing solely on Big B’s return to ‘KBC 3’ as it is expected to send the channel’s TRPs soaring. So Salman’s show ‘Dus Ka Dum’ has been shelved for the moment. It will be shot and aired next year now.
Well, the wait for Salman’s bindaas return as the host of DKD only gets longer.

One controversy or the other pop up every time a film is up for release – be it the link-up between the lead pair or organisations protesting the content of the film or the censor board objecting some scenes but I Hate Luv Storys directed by Punit Malhotra is free of all these. The film doesn’t enjoy publicity out of controversies but the lead pair of the film Imran Khan and Sonam Kapoor like it this way.
Some guys do anything to stay in the news and even resort to cheap publicity for their films but Imran and Sonam don’t fall into this category. Maybe the media is not linking them because of Imran’s steady relationship with Avantika, but what about Sonam? She was earlier linked to the film’s director Punit Malhotra but it died down as its release date drew near.
Interestingly, I Hate Luv Storys pair said that they don’t want cheap publicity, but their chemistry on and off the screen has been talked about even more than the ‘made-up affairs’. This is no cheap publicity though!

SRK to zoom in world's fastest car
Buzz is that superstar Shahrukh Khan is all set to drive the world's fastest car - the Bugatti Veyron in his forthcoming film Ra One.
Recent reports have revealed that King Khan also plans to take driving lessons from a special technical team that worked in The Pirates of the Caribbean.
A source from Ra One told a news daily that "A team of technicians from The Pirates Of The Caribbean crew is being flown down to teach Shah Rukh how to drive the car with ease. When you are zipping at a top speed of 407 kilometres per hour, your mind cannot afford to drift. Your concentration needs to be at its best."
Shah Rukh plays a superhero in Ra One and drives the fastest car ever. The Bugatti Veyron is to be used in performing many stunts by Shah Rukh in this film. This film is being directed by Anubhav Sinha and it also stars Kareena Kapoor as its leading lady.

Time flies. The first six months of 2010 seems to have ticked by rather fast, and it’s time to look back and review the best and the worst that came from Bollywood so far this year.
Many dashed expectations, a few surprises, and some tantalizing cinematic experiences dot the year gone by. Kites, the most hyped movie of the year, witnessed the most spectacular debacle at box office. Similarly, Mani Ratnam’s Raavan lulled the viewers to a sleep deeper than that of kumbhakarna.
The silver lining came in the form of lesser hyped films like Raajneeti or Housefull both of which fared exceptionally well at box office. Earlier this year, Shahrukh Khan won many a hearts with his love-all moderate Muslim act in My Name Is Khan.

Mithun Chakraborty Dreams Big in Shukno Lanka
Mithun Chakraborty faces lots of obstacles during his pursuit of his dream of becoming an accomplished actor in the Bengali film Shukno Lanka.
Joy Sundar Sen (Sabyasachi Chakraborty), an award winning filmmaker, on a visit to Berlin meets European actress Isabella (Emma Garnett Brown). They develop a bond based on their shared interests and mutual respect. Sen and Isabella chance upon a collection of short stories by Indian filmmaker Ritwik Ghatak. Sen is smitten by one of the stories called Paraspathar and decides to make a film on it.
Chinu Nandy (Mithun Chakraborty) a middle-aged struggling Bengali actor is still waiting for the big break that will establish him as an accomplished actor. Nandy gets the big break when Sen decides to cast him as the lead in Paraspathar. Nandy is unable to believe his luck. But will it be a cakewalk as Nandy thinks?

John Abhraham To Produce A Film On Soccer

Bollywood actor John Abraham’s love for bikes and football is known to all his fans. His off screen desire has been fulfilled on screen by his films Dhoom, where he is a biker and Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal, in which he plays a football player for Southall.
Now, the actor wants to produce a film on soccer, which he has been planning for the last two years. A diehard football lover John said that he wishes to produce a film based on any possible sport in the earth.
The Bollywood hunk said, “My earlier movie on football Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal (2007) could not make it big at the box office. The reason may be it that it was not set in India but in Southall. I thoroughly enjoy the emotions on the sports field, and love to explore the angst, victory, loss and jealousy on field. I want to present the different connotations of the world of sports.”
John will soon come up with a staff-driven production company and then he plans to make some entertaining movies. He added, “I will make films, where I can act. I don’t like to pretend doing something I don’t believe in.”
The actor wants to make his football movie as interesting and enjoyable as the 1981 movie, Escape To Victory and the 2000 released The Titans.
The football fever is high in his veins now with the FIFA World Cup going on. He has watched all the matches till now. John added, “My favorite team is Argentina as I am a fan of their coach Diego Maradona. I hope the team wins.”

The recent buzz to grip the B-Town is thatAbhishek Bachchan has been offered a handsome Rs 7 crore offer for a film. It seems the producer is untouched by the Raavan effect. So, who is this braveheart?
According to a daily, the Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani director Raj Kumar Santoshi is planning a film with the Bachchans. Yes, it’s not only Abhishek but Aishwarya Rai and Amitabh Bachchan too on the wish list of the director. Moreover, a big film corporation (name yet not disclosed) will produce it.
So, the decided fee for Abhi for this project is humongous Rs 7 crore. Santoshi is definitely on a roll after delivering ‘Ajab Prem Ki…’ hit.

Kamal Haasan is one superstar who is known for his talent not just in south or Bollywood but also globally. The man who has shown his skills in the world of cinema both, in front and behind the camera, and has managed to mesmerize the audiences with his work completes 50 years in Indian cinema this year.
In order to commemorate this grand occasion, a three-day festival of Kamal Haasan's films is being organized in New Delhi from July 2, which is to be inaugurated by Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Ambika Soni. In all, there will be seven movies of the actor that will form the retrospective, which will start with the Hindi film Hey Ram and will be followed by regional films like Anbe Sivam, Virumaandy, Thevar Magan, Dasavatharam, Nayagan and Sagar Sangamam.

Salman Khan looks the best with Aishwarya Rai!
In the wake of the release of Mani Ratnam’s film Raavan, we had asked our readers to vote on who looks the best with Aishwarya Rai on screen. Surprisingly, it’s not Ash’s hubby Abhishek Bachchan but her ex flame Salman Khan who got a thumping approval from the patrons of ApunKaChoice.
More than 2700 votes were cast of which Salman bagged 48 percent, while Hrithik Roshan came second with 38 percent votes. Abhishek managed just 10 percent votes while Vivek Oberoi came last with a meagre 3 percent.
Interestingly, of the four men, Ash has worked the most with Abhishek, followed by Hrithik and Vivek. She has worked with Salman in just one film Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and had a guest appearance opposite him in Hum Tumhare Hai Sanam.

Diamonds for the lady! Father-to-be Sanjay Dutt found nothing better than a pair of solitaire earrings to give as gift to his pregnant wife Maanyata Dutt. The piece of jewellery is reported to be pretty expensive.
Lucky Maana! She is said to be pregnant with twins and Sanjay, who is going to be father for the second time after almost 22 years, is on the seventh heaven. According to reports when doctor confirmed Maana is pregnant, Sanju wanted to “lay world at her feet”. He is so thankful to his wifey that he decided to give her something that is not only exclusive but expensive too. Sanjay has only one daughter from his former wife Richa, whom he lost because of cancer.
Recently, Sanjay asked his jeweler to get the biggest pair of diamond earrings for Maanyata. As sources tell a daily, he gifted the five-karat-each solitaire earring pair to her which were priced above one crore.
Well, showering diamonds on Maana is not new for Sanju. While getting married, he gifted her Rs 40 lakh solitaire ring.
