Since debuting in Boom (2003), Katrina Kaif has remained more or less aloof from and reserved with other actresses.
That attitude seems to be changing, beginning with Anushka Sharma.
You'd expect the senior actress to snark at the new actress, given that she is slowly but surely trying to step into Sheila's shoes.
Not only was Sharma's last release with Kat's fav actor Akshay Kumar, but the Band Bajaa Baraat girl was boldly trying hard to cosy upto Ranbir Kapoor, in the presence of Kat at a party last month!
Me, too?
On Thursday, the two girls were in Dhaka (Akki and Salman Khan were also present) for the Tri-Nations show. Kat had to rush back to Mumbai to shoot for her YRF film Mere Brother Ki Dulhan.
Since no commercial flights were available, she booked a chartered flight for her and members of her staff to fly back.
When Anushka heard of it, she hesitantly asked if she could bum a ride. Kat immediately yes."

Anushka Sharma is a Yash Raj Films protegee (Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, Band Baaja Baraat) while Katrina has worked in New York, and is now acting in the banner's film opposite Imran Khan.
Presently, they are Aditya Chopra's favourite leading ladies (even Rani Mukerji seems to have taken a backseat).
Up until the plane ride together, they hadn't interacted with each other. But on flight the two girls had a party. They were seen enjoying each other's company, chatting like long-lost friends.

A huge superstar in India, Bachchan is still going strong in his 60s. He shot to fame in the 1970s as the angry young man in a series of Indian films. After temporary retirement and declaring bankruptcy in the 1990s, he returned to the limelight in 2000 as the host of India’s version of “Who Wants to be a Millionaire”, a role and salary that was no doubt impacted with the massive popularity of Slumdog Millionaire.

She can make even the tacky togs look like haute couture. Katrina Kaif, one of the most beautiful actresses in Bollywood, will be undergoing an uber glam makeover for the sequel of director Tarun Mansukhani’s gay rom-com Dostana.
Since it’s a Karan Johar production, it goes without saying that K-Jo’s favourite Manish Malhotra will get to dress up Kat in the film.
Interestingly, this is the first time Malhotra would design for Katrina. Mostly it’s Rocky S who does her costumes for films.
Knowing Malhotra’s style, we’re sure he’ll glam up Kat like never before. But will he give her a swimsuit sexier than that golden one he gave Priyanka Chopra in Dostana?

Before you start getting any naughty ideas, let’s clarify that Katrina Kaif wasn’t topless though she reportedly was on a nude beach while shooting for director Zoya Akhtar’s film Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara in Spain.
It turned out that Katrina, her co-star Kalki Koechlin and the film’s other cast and crew landed on a scenic beach in Costa Brava to shoot the film, but to their surprise found many women and men lying naked and soaking in the summer sun.
The Bollywood ladies must have cringed with embarrassment as they got ready to shoot against the backdrop of beachgoers basking in their birthday suits. However, since nudity can’t be shown in Hindi films, the crew took extra caution to ensure that none of the nude sunbathers were in the camera’s frames.
We hear that the shooting progressed for a good number of hours, and by the end of it the cast and crew had gotten used to the abundant nudity around them.

Katrina Kaif owes a lot to the recent political flick Rajneeti. The movie has helped her shed her one-dimensional Barbie doll image and pushed her in a new light, with audience and filmmakers beginning to appreciate her as a versatile actress.
It therefore stands to reason that Kat would be the one partying the most at the Mumbai success bash held by Prakash Jha. Unfortunately, she's likely to be the only actor of the ensemble cast not to make an appearance!
Kat has been busy with Zoya Akhtar's film, Zindagi Milegi Na Dobara, in Spain. All plans were made for her to take a break and fly to Mumbai so that she could be a part of the celebrations before making a quick trip back. However, unexpected downpours on the sets earlier cancelled many shoots, meaning that the Zindagi team are working overtime to get all the required footage.
Subsequently, the actress's request for a two-day break was denied. Katrina also offered to make it back in 24 hours - hoping to fly out on the day of the party and practically return to Spain the same day. However director Zoya already has her hands full and refuses to lose any more time.
Katrina is surely disheartened with the news but has asked Prakash Jha to hold another party when she returns.

Katrina Kaif ‘s plans to fly down to Mumbai for a day in order to celebrate the success of Raajneeti, on June 23, from Spain, where she is shooting for Zoya Akhtar’s Zindagi Milegi Na Dobara have been dropped.
Apparently the inclement weather has made it impossible for her to be let off for even a day. Setting aside her habitual work-comes-first-party-later attitude she had even requested the film’s producers and director to accommodate her absence.
Says a source close to Katrina, “Since Prakash Jha was very very keen to have her down to Mumbai for the bash, and had even made all arrangements for her flight, Katrina was not willing to give up the idea of attending the function.
She offered to be back in less than 24 hours. Katrina was willing to fly to Mumbai, attend the Raajneeti bash on Wednesday and fly out quickly the same night to re-join the Dobara team the next morning. But she has not been allowed to do so.”
The Raajneeti team has a lot to celebrate about. But Prakash Jha wanted no celebration until his lucky mascot Katrina Kaif was available.
Unfortunately, Zoya Akhtar’s crew has been facing rough weather ever since they arrived in Spain. Apparently 6 days of shooting had to be cancelled because of heavy rains. And now they need to make up for the lost time quickly since their work permits and visas would expire.
Prakash Jha admits that Katrina would be unable to make it to the Raajneeti celebration party on June 23. “They’ve lost a lot of time because of the rain in Spain. I couldn’t dream of having a
Raajneeti bash without Katrina. I had postponed it until her availability. But now it’s impossible for Katrina to fly down.”
Prakash will now record a video message with Katrina and play it at the party. “So she will be with us in spirit if not in person,” he smirks.
Katrina, on the other hand, tried to sound diplomatic and non-disappointed. “It is a big day. And the success of Raajneeti is very precious to me. But I can’t leave the crew in Spain.”
She admits there have been lots of unscheduled breaks. Katrina has one of her sister s, Melissa, to join her in Spain and give her company during the breaks.
Says Katrina, “London is just two hours away, so Melissa could join me. Mumbai is in another hemisphere. Flying down is impossible. Please tell Prakashji, Mera party baki raha.”

Talking about his experience, Ravi says, “It was funny when I first met Katrina Kaif during the shooting of Raajneeti. We were on location in Bhopal, and I was introduced to her by Prakash Jha as her screen dad. She took one look at me and asked Prakash ji if he was joking. When Prakashji re-confirmed that I was to be her father in the film, she told me that she had got the best looking father compared to all her previous films so far.”
Ravi Khemu, played her conniving and politically inclined industrialist father in the successful film Raajneeti. He feels that this can also be attributed to the fact that both of them have Kashmiri blood in them with Katrina being half Kashmiri by birth. So what did Ravi reply? “I told her that a pretty girl deserved a good father. And when I asked if she had ever visited Kashmir, she gave a sad ‘No’.”

New reports maintain that after Raajneeti Bollywood's lucky lucky charm Katrina Kaif ready to play a female army recruits in his debut manufacture. But contrary to popular belief, there is no corroboration as up till now
a source revealed: "There is no truth in the news that Katrina will play an Army recruiter or movie will be in line with Private Benjamin. It is too near the beginning to talk about it as if nothing is complete right at the present."
Reports also supposed that the film in question, based on life in the military, will be the focus of Katrina's remake of French film whose rights Katrina purchase. And the news has not gone down well with the Bollywood Diva.
The basis adds: "When the time comes, a message will be made on the details of his first manufacture project. What is Katrina just in conversation and play with ideas? It is pointless to speculate on pure rumor. "

While flying back from Lucknow Monday evening after a Raajneeti tour, Manoj Bajpai bought gifts for co-stars Ajay Devgn, Katrina Kaif and director Prakash Jha.
It all began when the plane came around the basket. Katrina admired a guard, and demand that Manoj buy it for her. This made the second rib Bajpai to just buy gifts for the lady.Ultimately, he ended up trade gifts for everybody. He has also picked up some of Ajay's daughter Nysa.
Manoj said: "It was not anything. I just bought a bracelet for Nysa. It was time for shopping my co-actors, who demanded that I buy them gifts from in-flight shopping."
Jha confirm "First Manoj bought gifts to Katrina. Then Ajay and I complain that why be supposed to we be? Katrina as a Friendship clock, so he rose from his seat and buy it for her.
Ajay and I looked at each other and then Ajay ask for a gift too. It was not fair that only Katrina would be a gift. So the poor guy broken up buying a Swarovski pen Ajay and Dolce & Gabbana cologne for me. "
Manoj says that his only condition for buying them gifts, was that everybody would have them all the time. He laugh: "Now Prakashji office oozes DG perfume, while Katrina immediately carried her colorful Friendship clock. Now I fear you must buy something for Ranbir also when we go to Delhi when he was not present on this trip."
Manoj plays Ranbir Kapoor's elder brother in the film. He adds: "I am the eldest son in the family and power hungry. In my Father, inherit me his power. My character is not based on any real life politician. I outlined my temperament on my own as I always do. In Raajneeti all have a shade of gray than Katrina. "

Will Hrithik Roshan ,Katrina Kaif romance in Zoya Akhtar's Next produced by Ritesh and Farhan Akhtar.
This will be the first combination of Hrithik and Katrina, two of Bollywood's most well-liked stars.
Ritesh and Farhan had previously worked together on the 2001 mega hit Dil Chahta Hai starring Aamir Khan, Saif Ali Khan and Akshay Khanna as three friends.
Both stars are very pleased to collaborate with one another.
"Katrina is very excited for her various films, and in this film you will see her audacious streak.She is also very kicked about working with Hrithik and hope the public will like their pairing, "said the foundation.
