IPL team owners 'miss Lalit Modi' at meeting with BCCI
Thursday, June 24, 2010
For the first time since Lalit Modi was suspended, the top brass of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and new Indian Premier League (IPL) chief Chirayu Amin met the owners of the 10 IPL teams today.
After the meeting, Ness Wadia, who is a co-owner of the Kings XI Punjab IPL team, said he "missed Lalit Modi" and hoped would get a fair trial.
"We hope he (Lalit Modi) is given a fair trial by the BCCI. It was a normal meeting to discuss all that happened. Everyone's happy with everyone," he said adding, "We have applied to sell of stake...got a good offer."
