Abhi's lying, says stunt double

Mani Ratnam’s Raavan may have opened to a tepid response from critics, but the film and its lead actor are creating enough controversies to keep it in the news.
It turns out that Abhishek Bachchan’s claims of having done the death-defying stunt in Raavan could be one big lie. Bangalore-based diving champion, MS Balram, has claimed it was his work.

Raavan is not a story, it is a world. Dev (Vikram) falls in love with Ragini (Rai), a spunky classical dancer who is as unconventional as him. They get married and he takes up his new post in Lal Maati, a small town in northern India. A town where the word of law is not the police but Beera (Bachchan), a tribal who has, over the years, shifted the power equation of the place from the ruling to the have-nots of the area. Dev knows that the key to bringing order to any place is to vanquish the big fish; in this case – Beera. In one stroke Dev manages to rip open Beera’s word, and set in motion a chain of events which will claim lives, change fortunes.
'Raavan' set for London premiere

Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai's much expected film 'Raavan', will have its world premiere June 16 in London.
Abhishek, who plays the Beer in the film, put it on his microblogging site Twitter.
Directed by Mani Ratnam and co-produced by Reliance BIG Pictures, the film also stars Tamil superstar Vikram, govinda and Ravi Kishan. It is set for a June 18 release.
In the movie, kidnaps Abhishek Aishwarya is married to Vikram. As the story progresses, Aishwarya character development apparently a soft corner for abduct her.

Aishwarya to walk Cannes red carpet in Indian outfit

Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai, who in topical years was wearing western clothes during the Cannes Film Festival, Monday will go down the red carpet at the gala event in an Indian outfit intended by Sabyasachi.
So far, she walked the red carpet in western clothes in Cannes when she was there as part of an international team of Loreal, marking her support, said her spokesman.
"Aishwarya is Loreal year after year, and per orders, she must have international Western fashionable clothes, a spokesman.
"This time" Raavan "Red Carpet is also an apartment building in Cannes, she planned to have an Indian dress for the occasion. The dress was designed by Sabyasachi," said spokesman added.
Directed by Mani Ratnam, "Raavan" is said to be a modern version of the epic "Ramayana".It also stars actor Abhishek Bachchan and south superstar Vikram, who plays a cop married to Aishwarya.
Aishwarya plays the lead role in both Hindi and Tamil version of the film.
