Paul Gray, bassist with the American metal band Slipknot, was establish deceased in a hotel in Des Moines, Iowa, police say. A hotel employee found Gray, 38, died in a room at the Town Place Suites in Urbandale, a suburb of Des Moines , police said in a statement. An autopsy scheduled on Tuesday.

Most of the Slipknot member grew up in Des Moines area. The band, known for its ugly masks, released her first album in 1999. It sold more than 1 million copies.

Jose Reyes, Lima, is from Santiago, Dominican Republic, and Lima is measured a close friend. "It was the funniest guy ever," said Reyes. "It's hard for me to see the guy pass as juvenile."

Oliver Perez heard the information from Reye when he came to Citi meadow.

"Jose was enjoying every instant he was out on the field," said Perez. "All of baseball is a bit sad right now."

Alex Cora, who plays with Lima on the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2004, said he was stunned by the news. "For a 37-year-old sportsperson to have a massive heart attack, it makes you wonder," said Cora, shaky his head. "It is very scandalous."

Spanish literary great Miguel Delibes has passed away after a long battle with cancer.

A perfect example would be the death of the famous Spanish Author Miguel Delibes who died at 7 am this morning. The award winning writer was 89 years old but you never see these things coming. Delibes was one of the most influential Spanish writers and was renowned for his work which brought to light the harsh way of life in deep Spain. In case you're not convinced that Delibes was a big deal,he even received a call from King Juan Carlos shortly before he passed who was concerned about his well being. Since the publication of his first novel,"La sombra del ciprés es alargada" in 1947 up until his last offering just over a decade ago the author remained a popular choice amongst avid readers.

Miguel Delibes will be remembered as a great story teller who enjoyed his siesta and entertained countless minds.
