Thursday, August 19, 2010

Swimmers who disobey 'red flags' on beaches in Murcia (e.g. Cartagena, Mazarrón, Águilas, Lorca and San Javier) by going for a swim risk having a fine of upto €1,500- imposed on them by local police. I read on Thursday the news that a youth of 15 at a school in Mazarrón had fainted during a physical education class and that staff, realising the seriousness of the situation, called in the emergency services. I now read that the boy died and his funeral has taken place. The cause of death is unknown, although it is not known if an autopsy took place prior to the burial.I was shocked and

Sunday, July 6, 2008
¡Felicitaciones!Rafael NadalThroughout the late afternoon until 9.30pm (British time) this evening I have been watching the 'battle' for supremacy this year at Wimbledon between Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal. After being 2 sets down to Nadal, Roger Federer of Switzerland succeeded in clawing his way back to parity with the Spaniard. In both the third and fourth sets he achieved this only as a
