Sex: Yes Please
Friday, July 10, 2009
Sex, Sex, Sex, Sex, it's everywhere! Is it just me or is there sex in the air? This past week Ive had more discussions about sex than anything else, every topic seems to relate to sex. All I've spoken about is oral, if you've had more than one O at a time, masturbation and if you need to start dressing like a high school cheerleader to spice it up. I started to realize that women talk about sex as much, if not more, than men. Don't be fooled by our self confident and intelligent exterior, we seem to be as obsessed with it as the opposite sex and then I started wondering why? Are we not being satisfied enough? If we had wild sex and had as many orgasms as I'm sure we all want, would we really feel the need to talk about it so much? I think not.
So that got me thinking about what men do wrong in bed, please don't feel like I'm man bashing but let's face facts here, it's easier for a man to come to the party than a woman. I typed the word sex into Google and braced myself for the onslaught of pornography websites, I was in fact looking for something a little more clinical, but let's not get side tracked by the mundane. I was right, everything from "Shaving Private Ryan" to "Sex Trek: The Next penetration" came up. I tried to stifle a giggle before being caught by a colleague in a very compromising position but then I came across an article that really made my day. I think everyone should have a read through this, it's classic! Courtesy of Health24:
Mistakes men make in bed
You've got her as far as your bedroom. What could possibly go wrong now? Many things - read these and find out why she never phoned or returned your calls.
Not shaving. Like love, stubble hurts. When you drag your chin across her face or thighs, she might not be moaning from pleasure, but from pain.
Blowing in her ear. There’s a big difference between erotic whispering in someone’s ear and huffing and puffing as if you want to blow the house down.
Twiddling her nipples. Nipples are sensitive and should be treated gently. They should not be treated like radio dials.
Ignoring the rest of her body. A woman is made up of more than two breasts and a vagina. Pay attention to the rest of her.
Not disposing of used condoms. This is the responsibility of the person who wore it.
Not kissing first. Foreplay starts with passionate kissing. Don’t skip this part – she will feel neglected by your apparent haste.
Attacking the clitoris. Be gentle and don’t use direct pressure. This could be both uncomfortable and painful.
Stopping for a break. Women cannot pick up where they left off. In this respect they are different from men. If you stop, she will go back to square one very quickly.
Taking your pants off first. There are few things less attractive than a man in only socks, a shirt and underpants.
Going too fast. Remember this is not an Olympic event. There is no need for you to pump away like a hydraulic power tool. Build up slowly – and you both might have more fun.
Asking if she has come. You should be able to tell, shouldn’t you? If you can’t, assume that she hasn’t.
Nudging her head down. All women hate this. There is an element of desperation involved here when men do this. For women, it’s a very short step from being dragged to a cave by the hair. If both of you enjoy oral sex, this will happen by itself. Don’t involve an element of force.
Taking pictures. Her first thought will be “Who do you want to show them to?”
Giving love bites. Gentle suction on the sides of the neck can be highly erotic, but love bites can be painful and lead to infections. Who wants to wear scarves and polo necks in the middle of the summer?
Squashing her. Just remember that most men weigh more than women do. If you lie too heavily on her, she might stop breathing.
Talking dirty. This might make you sound like a desperate sex caller on a payline. Listen to her first – if she doesn’t talk dirty, don’t.
Don’t thank a woman for having sex with you. It makes you sound desperate and like a charity case. She won’t be back for more.
Use it or lose it folks, either way, happy sex talking, it's the 21st Century way, apparently.
Has The World Gone Soft?

Here's a story to tickle your fancy or whatever might need tickling. The National Police have confiscated 9,000 'false' viagra tablets that were being sold on the internet. Four people have been arrested for importing and distributing tens of thousands of phoney viagra tablets in Spain, with a possible value of over 50,000€.
After reading this story, I had a good laugh and looked over at my boss to tell her the tale of the viagra tablets with clearly no side effects and she asked a question I hadn't even thought of, "how did they discover that?". The question is simple and I reread the article to see if I had somehow missed that part and I hadnt, because it wasn't mentioned. That leads me to believe that numerous people started complaining and the more they complained the more police started to take notice of what they were saying.
That brings me to a question of my own, how many people in the world are using viagra? I'm sure the number would shock even the most free thinking. So I researched viagra, to find out a little more about this so called wonder drug and why it's taking over the world one pill at a time. Or to be more specific nine pills every second, that's nearly 300 million tablets per year and thats the truth my friends.
So the basics are basic, obviously, viagra is to be used when a man cannot get an erection due to emotional or physical problems, I think we've all established that but that doesnt explain why so many man are buying a product to enhance sexual performance, has the world gone soft? the answer is simple. I read that younger men are asking for prescriptions under the impression that it will enhance their performance. Although the majortiy of men over a certain age are getting the bulk of the pills, there is an abnormally high percentage of younger men using it recreationally.
I started to wonder if it did enhance performance. Apparently it all depends on the person, as with many other drugs, although doctors do say that it can have the reverse effect and men expecting to last for a couple of hours, land up lasting a couple of seconds, you know what they say about too much blood....nevermind..... the point is that a drug that is meant for people who have actual erectile problems is being used as a way of spicing up the bedroom.
I came across another story that almost made me scream with laughter. A 25 year old, fit and healthy young man had managed to get a viagra tablet from a friend, he of course, was elated and started setting up for a romantic evening, he took the pill, sat in the hot tub and enjoyed a glass of wine. But when he got out of the hot tub to greet his female counterpart, he fainted. Talk about an anti climax. Needless to say he consulted his local GP and was completely humiliated.
I still havent established if using viagra recreationally does have any special kicks but it obviously does for some or sales wouldnt be as high as they are. Our poor friend in the hot tub was clearly not one of the lucky ones. What I do know is that it's a safe drug and it's not life threatening when used by young, healthy men and it's clearly big business, even if its one distributing false tablets.
