Rural Tourism in Galicia

If you would like to shatter all the usual stereotypical images of Spain, then Galicia is for you. Galician Spain, right above Portugal, is a fresh and verdant land that has gushing rivers and countryside views more reminiscent of Scotland than Spain.

The weather is cooler than other parts of Spain, but it has an age-old magical atmosphere, which travellers can share in. Explore the many historic sites like; Celtic Hill-forts, Cathedrals, small Churches & Castles (the later three types of monuments can date as far back as the 9th century).

The Wines of the Ribeira Sacra deserve a special mention. Numerous wine cellars dedicated to the production of first class, quality wines are located along the riverbanks.

For a truly memorable stay in Galicia try the CASA SANTO ESTEVO , a Casa Rural which is included in the network of Rural Tourism for Galicia and commercialised by the society of Turgalicia. The house is located,in a small hamlet, next to the Romanesque church of Santo Estevo de Ribas de MiƱo.
