EU offers subsidies to grub-up vines in Murcia

The EU is offering subsidies of around €4,080 per hectare for growers to grub-up their vines in the Murcia region, roughly 4,000 hectares are affected. However, whether certain lands affected by the worst levels of drought will be eligible for the subsidy is open to question because the EU sets a minimum production level of wine for land at 20 hectolitres per hectare for eligibility and whilst
