Singapore injects cash to boost challenge

Reuters India, 23 Feb 2011(Reuters) - Singapore has put its money where its mouth is with a massive injection of cash to help the city-state become a regional powerhouse at major sports events.The Singapore Sports Council (SSC) will channel more than S$60 million ($46,847,550)to its sports associations and partners in 2011 -- an almost 25 percent increase on last year.
