Telephone helpline for victims of domestic violence

The Spanish government has set up a telephone helpline for victims of domestic violence; calls made to "016" will not appear in the 'last number dialled' list or on the bill. Although it has only now been launched formally, it has been operational since 3rd September on a trial basis and has already received 445 calls. The poignant voice-over on the advertisements for this service: "For
