Dan Gargan headed home Fuad Ibrahim's corner kick in the 85th minute to give Toronto FC a 1-1 tie with the Houston Dynamo on Thursday night.
Brian Ching's goal in the 73rd minute, also off a header on a corner kick, gave a Houston (5-7-3) the lead and followed two red cards about 11 minutes earlier that left each side with 10 players.
Each team played a man short after the 62nd minute with red cards handed to Toronto's Julian de Guzman and Houston's Joseph Ngwenya. It came after a skirmish deep in the Toronto end after Ngwenya continued on despite being called for a foul.
Toronto (5-4-4) picked up another red card just before the end of the game when Amadou Sanyang was sent off for his second yellow card of the match.
